Heather Rindels, Chief Development Officer joined the Starfish leadership team in January of 2015, after serving as Interim Chief Development Officer for the previous ten months. She is an accomplished fundraising professional and organizational leader. Heather has held positions in higher education, healthcare and human service agencies. She is adept at leveraging the resources of foundations, corporate partnerships, individual giving, philanthropy, and government on behalf of organizations.
She has served as a leading fundraising professional on campaigns, ranging from $150M to $2.5B. Her strategic use of fundraising, community outreach and marketing communications has advanced major causes.
She has held key positions with Altarum Institute, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan, the University of Michigan, Henry Ford Health System and University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio. She earned a B.S. in Management and an MBA in Marketing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Heather believes strongly in giving back. She currently serves on the Board for the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor. She is passionate about protecting the rights of children and abused animals, particularly dogs, and volunteers her time raising money for local shelters and advocating for policy changes.
Heather and her husband Len Krichko live in Novi with their daughter Lucy and dogs Jasper, and Savannah.
